Thanks for the video. So nice to see those wheels again. A time when you could identify a make, model, and year of a car by just looking at it. Not like today when they all look the same until you get close enough to read the badge.
I couldn't help but think about how poor the brakes were back then with all thos hills. :?
On my headstone it will say: Please switch off mobile phones. I'm trying to get some sleep.

That brings back memories of the last time I was there in the 90's & getting a right rollicking from the cable car operator for hanging outside the car getting a similar video. :)

The leader of the Trabant pack patrolling the streets of East-Berlin, once the wrong side of the Berlin Wall. Sometimes it descends the staircase when enough tourists are eager for a real adventure: a Trabi-Safari.

Didja see the Guy Martin episode where he did one up for a special classic race at Brands Hatch? Guy and a couple of other (experienced) Trabant racers were eventually removed from the race. They were so slow the officials decided they were causing unnecessary danger to the other cars.

No, didn't see it. I know that it topped out at 77 mph. Smoke gets into your eyes, also a problem, if I remember well 80 times more air pollution than a Mercedes. Not a problem: creative use possible of course, it doesn't rust....Which causes another environmental problem.
