Wise money transfer
As the pound is around €1:20 I decided to exchange £5000 this morning using the Wise App on my tablet. I opened the Wise App and sorted the transaction. I moved to my Barclays App and transferred the money. I immediately received two notifications, one fromBarclays saying that the money had been paid, the second from Wise saying my Euros had been sent. I then opened my French bank App to check what I was going to do with the ‘new’ money when it arrived. No when about it, it was there already, less than one minute after I’d sent the money to Wise. That’s beaten my old record by a couple of hours!

Wise are using Instant payts .. my first took 7 secs .. the second one took 6 secs .. or so Wise told me 
The best bit is that the money is immediately usable .. which with Banq Pop it wasn't previously.

I was well impressed with our first dealings with Wise. Almost instant money transfer is amazing.
We have joint UK & French bank a/cs & I have been asking Wise if it's possible to have a joint a/c with them to avoid the irritating SMS log in codes which will only go to one of our phones meaning if I want to log in it's necessary for my wife to be in the vacinity to pass on this code which goes to her registered phone.
Wise are adament it's not possible & whilst it's only irritating & not life threatening, it's strange that tranfers between joint a/cs can only be accomplished through a single named Wise a/c.

We've used Global Reach for years with no complaints but their latest changes made us look elswhere. We were told by 'someone close to them' that they were now not interested in clients other than those who have very large amounts to trade & hence their move to online only transactions to folk like us.
This prompted us to seek an alternative FX dealer & led us to Wise who not only give a better rate & transfer fee but do it very efficiently & quickly.
Global Reach have lost our custom to a better outfit.
