Another fire damaged house

We own this one next week, it was owned by a Frenchman who had restored most of it and some how it burned down and the insurance did not pay out. Again lovely views and in the Cantal.

The last picture is what will sell it, it has water and electricity no roof but cheap.
This one we will restore if it does not sell.

I'm amazed that the walls are still standing.

We went along today to see what we bought it has a viewing on Tuesday.
Originally we got sent this picture which we thought was a mistake as it did not match either fireplace in the house.

It's on the ground floor behind this you cannot see it yet but the walls and fireplace are perfect. Hard hat and chainsaw next week to clear it if it does not sell

First floor fireplace has a nice cut stone floor 6m by 4m.

Without wishing to be impertinent, how do you stand with plus value or does it get lost in the selling price ?

First of all we pay TVA on the difference between the purchase and sale price, any TVA we have paid on materials etc does get offset against that but there is always some amount to pay and then company tax on profit made after costs.
We get all material, fuel and accounting costs against any profit.

Hopefully it will sell quickly so we just have to do a tidy up. We are not asking much for it just looking to sell a few more before the end of the year.

I find these burnt homes interesting it just an observation but on my travels in France I have known many buildings suddenly go up in flames. I spent an interesting 3 months in a rented flat in the centre of Quillan l' Aude 3 rundown homes on separate occasions went up less than 200 metres from the market place and caused other buildings to collapse whilst I was there. On another occasion when I drove through my old town a few years back the rented home of a local farmer which I knew was not doing to well was also burnt out
