And The Times has started a news service to Russia via the Telegram messaging app. Apparently it is the most popular messaging service in Russia and is encrypted

Well, let's hope the truth gets out more over there. I'm seeing some "street interviews" (ok, probably people who have been bribed to support the Kremlin), who I can't believe - in this day and age, are supporting the "War" and say Russia must win to liberate the Ukrainians.

I doubt they have been bribed @Bayleaf. Brainwashed, yes but not bribed.
If your sources of news are only Russian TV and Pravda ( Pravda = truth - well the truth according to (Ras)Putin) then you will "know" that Ukrainians are slowly being freed and are welcoming the Russian forces on their special operations. A few (under 500) lives have been lost but a small price to pay for ejecting Nazi drug dealers from the Ukrainian elite.

Even the Russian troops believed it - and ate the cakes freely handed out by the liberated Ukrainians . . .exile wrote: ↑Tue Apr 05, 2022 12:26 pmI doubt they have been bribed @Bayleaf. Brainwashed, yes but not bribed.

I suspect a lot of the "street interviews" are the unthinking, less educated Russians, those who have absolutely no idea what happens outside Russian cities, who never read anything but Russian state-controlled press - if indeed they actually do read papers.
Certainly the educated ones seem to be anti-war judging by the demonstrations - and that's only those "traitors" who dare defy Putin's draconian laws against protesting !

It might have been the objective of the invasion had it gone to plan - but things haven't worked out - although reports from Bucha suggest the Russians were targeting anyone with a military background in line with above article.
Now the US is sending some more high tech drones, the UK is sending more anti-aircraft and anti-tank weapons, Czechia is sending some tanks and hopefully a way will be found to get the Polish MiG 29s over there too.
With luck, Ukraine will even regain control of Donbas and Crimea with enough help.

That's quite an article ....
The paranoia that Russia has is just unbelievable. The idea that "the West" or any other country wants to invade or destroy Russia is pure fantasy. As for the "denazification" of Ukraine, are not the Russians practising the very nazism that they seek to destroy in Ukraine ?
I have yet to find an article that actually defines what Russia considers to be "nazism".

This paragraph explains the Russian idea of nazism wrt Ukraine. Incidentally, it's ironic that the leader of the Wagner Group (Russian mercenary group used in Ukraine & Syria) sports SS tattoos:Blaze wrote: ↑Wed Apr 06, 2022 4:50 pm That's quite an article ....

"He brands any expression of Ukrainian politics, history, culture, language or thought as Nazi."
