Had a blood & pee test this morning at the local lab prior to annual heart check-up & just received results by internet. Seven hours, test to results. Can't knock that for service!
Miraculously all results are pretty much the same as last year & well within limits

That's good news, LAF. It may well depend on the lab, but we have been getting blood test results the same day for quite some time. I think the local lab has been working long hours, particularly with regard to PCR testing so they do a great job.

I had blood taken at my UK GP Surgery at 0840 and a phone call telling me I had to speak to a doctor at 1705 same day. The blood had to be taken from the surgery to the lab in that time

Yes our test reports are usually given the same day too.

My useless GP (or his dippy secretary) failed to send my blood to the lab and left it in the fridge then when queried as to why I had heard nothing sent off a sample for the wrong set of tests that cost my insurance CHF100 then when queried sent off something (didn't realise there was any left) for the correct set of tests. I got the results about a month or so after blood was taken!
