Euromillions tonight, and with my 1 line I AM going to win.

I have lots of ideas about what I will do with it, like treating family and friends.

That's an awful big win, I'd be happy with just 1 of those millions.

What would you do if you
win?

Much the same - family and friends

Reminds me of the old joke - Who needs these DNA genealogy sites - just announce you've won the lottery and you'll find many relatives you never knew you had.

My favourite insomnia cure.....start spending a €50m lottery win. (I'm not greedy :D ) I never get beyond the first €10m. Little things like stocking the freezer with swordfish and tuna, filling the car with diesel....simple pleasures :)

I made up my mind a long time ago - just in case, although my biggest win has only been €2.5k. I'd set up (or rather my accountants would) a 1901 association to provide help wherever needed: people in temporary financial trrouble, prospective entrepreneurs who can't raise start-up capital, etc. - no exclusions for anyone who can't get help elsewhare.
If my children wanted to be consultants, well and good.

Allways wanted a boat, either on the Broads or sea going, so there is some big ex Russian owned about, they might be cheap enough, but I know you need at least 10% of the cost each year to look after them, and pay wages, so it could be a plastic one for the bath then :x

I wouldn't post it on a forum for a start!

I've already done the boat thing, on a shoestring with a lot of help from the skips outside the Sunseeker factory in Poole. As much fun as it was I won't be going for another. Too much paperwork these days getting in and out of ports.
My buy list is a fairly long one but the basics would be:

Pay my builder friend in UK to come over to project manage the finishing of our cottage, and add some niceties like a conforming fosse system, leak free roof, a hot tub, a garage/workshop with a 2-post lift, a modest sized motorhome to use while the house is being done, (I have lived in a boatyard and then a building site for over 20 years and I'm frankly sick of it), an early Mazda MX5 for the mrs. modified to her taste, and a 1932 Ford sedan custom built to my specs by Roy Brizio in South San Francisco, (feck knows how I would ever get it registered onto French plates), a few of what I call American Icons as a nod to my birthplace (a Fender Stratocaster, a genuine carved cigar store Indian, a set of '59 Cadillac tail fin tail lights, a proper jukebox stuffed with 1950s rock and roll 45s, a mint 1947 silver dollar, a genuine Route 66 road sign, and an old gum ball machine), a lot of dental work, a pair of custom made shoes that actually fit my feet properly, a specialist medical consultation to see if anything can be done about my back pain, buy a nice house for the mrs. grandson (a real grafter but who will never make enough to get out of debt), donate generously to help keep some animal rescue centres afloat, and keep a professional mole catcher on a retainer full time.
All that is just what comes to mind easily but I'm sure there's more.
On my headstone it will say: Please switch off mobile phones. I'm trying to get some sleep.

Makes me sick when I see big winners saying "It won't change me, I'll still be going into work on Monday."
