Sorting out my S1
If it's any help, I’ve just been through the exact same process and it was very simple. I received my S1 in 2020 but didn't register it until this year because I thought that the chaos of Brexit might make it difficult, I too was on my husbands S1. I went into our local CPAM office, completed a one page form, handed over 1 of the S1 forms (they don't want both of them despite what DWP says), a copy of my Titre and passport and that was it. About a month later I got a letter confirming my new status, and another letter asking for a photo for my new card. When I received the card, about 10 days later, I opened my Ameli account and all my previous data had been transferred to my new account.

The Agen CPAM is a bit 'special', Mangetout....
You have to have experienced it to believe it

Oh dear. It's never nice when you come up against that sort of place. Letting rip, if your french is good enough, sometimes works.

I've been practising the opposite approach for 15 years now, always going face-to-face, being ultra polite, friendly etc., but I've had enough now and the gloves are off

We’ve written to Agen on the messenger service of Amelie to ask what we should do next - appointment or postal request.
Pointing out that I’m ALD and very anxious as I have ongoing treatments. We’ll see if the stone hearts of Agen are moved to be more helpful. Somehow I doubt it.

I have ALDs and I must admit I was tad worried it would all go wrong, but it didn't. Although I wasn't undergoing treatment and made sure I had all my meds and routine examinations etc right before I started the process. One thing I did do though was to use my old CV just the once to see if it would work and it did. They wrote to me to tell me not to do it again and return the card. If you're having chemo or radiation treatment the hospital doesn't normally want your card everytime you go. I hope it goes well for you.

I've just had a look at the reviews of cpam Agen. God they sound bloody awful. Having said that, the 'darling' I dealt with at our local office was totally uninterested and disrespectful but she was a rarity. Good luck to those using the Agen office because they seem to be not only disrespectful but incompetent. Double whammy.

I wrote recently to the Directeur of the caisse, our Deputé and the Ministre de la Santé pointing out those very aspects. Didn't have the courtesy of a reply from any of them, so is it any wonder that the lower echelons don't give a toss?
