Is that fresh this year? I always think PSB is the first veg of the year and a sign spring is well on the way. I was surprised that when we grew it on the potager, none of the other people seemed to be aware of it.
Only just started picking, seeds bought from the UK, planted out back in early summer, they are in the ground for nearly a year but well worth it it your potager
is large enough.

Tonight is stir fry & rice - using up some mushrooms, peppers, bean sprouts, chorizo & a small bit of cooked chicken.

Tonight it's what's-left stew cooked in a halved spaghetti Courge with cauliflower cheese. Good hearty food for a cold day.

Bread & Cheese, we always have our main meal at mid-day. Much Better when work to do. Why fill up to go to bed?

Having just made bread now starting to do a sausage savoury with my own made Toulouse sausages, tomatoe puree, shallots, carrots, mushrooms and any other bits of veg laying about thrown in.
Later
Now its cooking very slowly for an hour before resting all day to let the flavours mingle, will reheat to eat some at 19 hours, the usual evening meal time.

Beef in yogurt with black pepper & carrot & mustard seed salad - both Madhur Jaffrey recipes. Either rice or chapatis,if I can be bothered to make the latter. Using cheap stewing beef & it's in the oven now & the smell is making me hungry already!
