Not really concerned about the future of the planet. The planet has survived droughts, ice ages, and big asteroid strikes and still it survives.
Human civilisations come and go. Thinking we can avoid this natural cycle is a combination of arrogance and seizing an opportunity to make money by feeding general paranoia.

In agreement. Mankind has F'd the planet for themselves with their greed but it will survive as before.

I fail to see what difference all these conferences will make regarding the future of the planet, seems like a jolly up for the boys to me, and by the time Armageddon arrives most of us will be well forgotten dust.

It makes no difference when the biggest polluters stay away - in fact when European countries commit economic hari-kari by hiking the costs their companies face with green levies it actually exacerbates the problems as globalisation just moves production offshore to these cheaper and more polluting countries.

No doubt nature will hit back : fire, flooding, earthquakes, volcanos ..... but will they hit the worst polluters ?
