The tunic thing was coloured black and resembled a body bag, not a good start, and the pants, well lets just say slightly small as to cut of the blood supply to your lower body. One more moan, no I promise, someone was obviously engaged in some remedial / installation work, somewhere in the near proximity to my resting place. They must have had a new hammer drill, it went on and on, you could even hear it when they wheeled me in to the prep room. It was if they were in the next room but that was where the knickerless woman must have been, once the drilling temporarily ceased you could hear the rawlplug being tapped in and even the turning of the screw. The place is closed at the weekend why not do it then.

There is an important liability issue as well.

If you don't understand his French, the onus is on you to say so. Exactly the same as for a French person and let's be honest, medical language can sometimes be a mystery without Google to hand.

If he explains in English and what you understand is not what he meant - perhaps because his excellent English is not quite as good as you think - the onus is on him if a mistake is made. His medical insurance may well be invalid in such a case.
