Evaporated Milk Question
The office where I worked in Germany years ago provided Gloria evaporated milk to have with ground coffee ....
Evaporated milk is also used to make Gypsy Tart (if anyone remembers that !) though I've never had the lemon cream with it.

It's tooth-curlingly sweet ...

Evaporated Milk Question
@suein56 what a great idea - my neighbour does the food bank collection at our local Intermarche. I've never thought of giving hygenic 'stuff' cos I tend to give them more in the way of cat & dog foods than 'human food' - oops to make myself clear cat & dog food for their cats & dogs
. In fact the last collection caused me a bit of a dilemma as whilst putting bags of rice & pasta and packet soup in the trolley it occurred to me that we were on a water shortage & with the price of electricity maybe not such a good idea so out of the trolley it all came (except the animals food) and in went tins of fruit, biscuits, pate, jam etc.
