We were building our own house after ten or so years we put the caravan in the garage part and two patio doors back and front, we was running off big gennys, they where outside but under cover, the newest one a few weeks old had a mishap and caught fire, the fire started at the opposite end of the house to where the caravan was parked, it was a local that told us we was on fire, we was not aware until I went outside, then got the DW, man pouch, and out.Headers wrote: ↑Tue Sep 07, 2021 6:26 pmSpectrum - are you prepared to describe the reason for your speedy exit please? - only if it doesn’t bring back horrible memories.
If you had to leave in a hurry, what to take

This is an example of not having time to think.

Re: If you had to leave in a hurry, what to take
I have a grab bag on the door handle - but it is not complete by any extent. I do have sets of all important keys in it also as well as wallet, cards, passports etc
One other thing - I leave the door key in the lock so I can unlock and escape without fumbling for keys. Here a key is required inside and out to lock/unlock the door - safety standards lower! Fumbling in smoke to find a key is not a good idea!
One other question - what do you wear in bed (i.e. what will you be wearing if you have to vacate the house in a hurry at night)

I always sleep in my birthday suit.
On my headstone it will say: Please switch off mobile phones. I'm trying to get some sleep.

That's the one, generously decorated with wrinkles as well.

Come on fellers, keep yourselves fitter or problems await.
Think I'm the oldest here and theres no pockets nor wrinkles on me.
