It's a losing battle, Wilbro. There's a long line of eejit folk who drive me nuts, esspecially those who make plurals with 's and don't know the difference between it's and its. A friend of ours who's a professor of English suggested years ago that the apostophe should be abandoned altogether, so he did.

What about people (usually politicians) who start a sentence with " To be perfectly honest" which to my mind means that when they don't say that they are lying through their teeth.
