According to Tim Martin, the boss of Wetherspoons, the price of a pint could possibly rise to £10.
Blimey! when I was still living in England you could get 4 pints & change for a tenner.
Mind you it was 20 years ago
You should be so lucky, these are the prices of beer last year at the Munich Oktoberfest. OK it is per ltr, but even so, I would not be drinking the water.

Crikey, I wasn't expecting all that, especially as I don't drink beer. And certainly wouldn't go near a Wetherspoon pub even if I was in the UK
Thanks anyway.
Those German prices are enough to make me go teetotal. Wouldn't pay those prices for a litre of posh wine. I suppose once you've had a few you don't notice how much money you are ******* up the wall.
On my headstone it will say: Please switch off mobile phones. I'm trying to get some sleep.
Pauliner - which is a beer I regularly drank back in Germany - around €3.40/l bottled when bought by the crate. To be fair that is a lot more that I was paying 10 years ago but that is inflation and the impact of Russia's transgressions.

Err, not much "posh" wine at those prices even in a 75cl bottle.
