Trumps visioin for Gaza video

Trump has posted this video on his Bluesky account ... an AI generated vision of how he sees the transformation of Gaza into a dictators' paradise for the rich, at the expense of the Gazans who don't figure in his plans. An unbelievable obscenity, hard to believe anyone could dream up something so utterly revolting.

The man's only concern is power, money and revenge. It doesn't matter who dies or becomes homeless along the way. Collateral damage.

Not even going to watch that obscene show of gluttony and utter contempt for all those innocent lives lost. Hopefully Gaza's nicer neighbours will make sure this never happens.

It leaves me totally aghast that he has even reached the position he's in, aided by millions of ordinary Americans who seem incapable of recognising the utter madness of it all. Just how??????????

Other than the money (the majority aren't billionaires or even millionaires), they are just like him. It will be interesting to see how they feel when his craziness hits their wallets, households, jobs and families.

He's a greedy, ignorant bully to whom everything is a business opportunity. Millions of his followers are "unthinking" Americans who have absolutely no idea what happens outside the US, the sort of person who is carried away by glitz and razzamatazz and finds Trump's limited way of speaking matches their own. The "thinking" Trump supporters are toadies who surround him and are looking for what they can get for themselves.
The non-Trump "thinking" Americans are as horrified as we are at what is happening. It would be a mistake to put all Americans in the same basket.

One problem in the US is their electoral College voting system. Basically, Americans vote for an elector, who they hope will vote for the person they want, but there's no guarantee that this will happen. The end result doesn't necessarily reflect the popular vote.

I agree, Lori, things might hit home when prices start going up.
Where does Trump think the money will come from to build his Trump Gaza ? Oh of course, other countries will pay for his even if it has his name on it.
And Greenland ? That seems to have gone quiet for the moment.

We were ha ing dinner with the head of the fire dept. In a mid-west town. An English woman who had emigated to the USA said that they'd had their furniture "shipped" over from England. The host said " it would have had to come by sea as the UK is too small for an airport." and he was the boss!

It hasn't taken long for the Arab leaders to come up with an alternative for Gaza which could be far more realistic and caters for the rights of Palestinians. Unsurprisingly, Netanyahu and his allies are firmly against it.
Countries are going to be reluctant to invest big sums if there is a risk that everything could be destroyed in another war.
