2026 Tax return is open and it’s changed again
Our current nightmare is the new fisc 'double vérification' system. All communications go to OH who is anti-IT, anti-smartphones, etc. I have to call the accountrants with the code (which lasts 30 mins), after OH has checked his mail/had his sieste etc. coz he's deaf. All this because the French adfministration can't protect itself. Today's a public holiday so the last code is unlikely to work.

2026 Tax return is open and it’s changed again
My question I am now posing was raised at the beginning of this thread but not a definitive answer.
On 2047 1. Des pensions et rentes imposible en France.
Our two names are listed with the options to declare. I need to declare a public and a private pension and a public pension for my wife.
I cannot find any way to add a second line under my name.
Help please.

If you are completing online, in section 1.2 you can enter a line with the details for one person , the country of origin, tick one or both boxes for public and private, and enter the total of the pensions. You do not need to use separate lines to declare public and private pensions for one person.
You should then be able to create another entry line for another person and complete those details.
This is the printed form version

But they are treated separately
1AM Pension privée
1AL Pension public
and together here 8TV
I do not want to get this wrong as last year I was summoned for mis declaring for two years and had a very large amount of tax to repay.
I am certain that the guy at the impôts office had difficulty in finding how to do the second line but it was definately to show public and private separately on the pink form.

Whatever you enter in 2047, you are invited to manually enter in 2042*. It is here you make the distinction between public and private
* At least I was.

@curtis as I mentioned earlier (in less detail) to Liz: You will need to end up with the individual public pensions in 1AL/1BL and other pensions including state pensions in 1AM/1BM on form 2042. So the totals there and in 1.2 on 2047 should match overall.
2042 is the main tax declaration.
Really, you should consider 2047 as only a worksheet to collect figures to help you get the information in the correct places on 2042. In general, you should work through all of 2047 (including Section 6 for any government pensions taxed in the UK) first as, online, those figures are (mostly) "reported" automatically back to the relevant lines on 2042.
