Weather ... again

#651 Post by Blaze »

My OH was like yours' Mad and Exile but he' just about got the message !
We open everything up early in the morning the when the sun goes round we shut everything on the south side. Once the north side is in the shade, we open the windows a crack and generally benefit from the sea breeze that comes up in the afternoon.
We've canceled everything this week and are just flopping around inside during the hottest hours. The dogs are no keener to go out than we are !

33 degs here - bowls of cold water in every room, hot water bottle in the fridge for use over day and overnight, blinds down, windows closed and we're in hibernation - a couple of years back we bought for the small panes of glass on our front door some privacy film that also keeps out 95% of heat because our hall got sooooo hot - it works and so we put the film on our velux windows in the loft to keep the heat out and now I think we may need put some on other windows. It makes it a tad dark but we're not too bothered about that as we can see whose at the door and open or not without them seeing us !
With this hand, I will lift your sorrows. Your cup will never be empty, for I will be your wine. With this candle, I will light your way into darkness. With this ring, I ask you to be mine.........The Corpse Bride

I was planning to pop down to the beach this afternoon to cool off a bit, but it was quite crowded...so I went back home and had a shower.
