We can only hope that Twump and Leon eventually clash. They are both using each other for their own ends but neither wants to take second place. At the moment, Leon could never become President as he was not born on US soil. But the way the Twump government seems to think he can manipulate the constitution (inciting riot on the Capitol), who knows ? He may do what other dictators have done : prolong their term in office.

I've just read this on the BBC :

Writing on social media, Trump says Gaza "would be turned over to the United States by Israel at the conclusion of fighting"

The plan envisages that Israel would first expel all the Palestinians and the US would then become the occupying power.
However, he says this would be done without using any US troops.
The Americans “working with great development teams from all over the World” would then rebuild Gaza into “one of the greatest and most spectacular developments of its kind on Earth”.
He has already said that the US would not pay for this - the reconstruction would be funded by other countries so that “the world’s people” can live in Gaza while most Palestinians would be “resettled… permanently” elsewhere.

Whilst most of us are aghast by his proposals, such things should not be taken lightly. Remember what was happening in Germany in the 30s - no-one took it very seriously then ....

So terribly sad. Haven't those people suffered enough already? Ethnic cleansing is still on Netanyaho's agenda - he doesn't care about the rest of the hostages as the current ceasefire looks set to crumble.

I started to listen to both clips, but think it's a bit early in the day to get taken down to darkness. I'll come back to them later. Nifty's is a 13 ish minute podcast of "The Logic of Destruction, and how to resist it".

Just seeing the BBC headline about Netanf*ckface (sorry, my language is particularly bad with anything relating to that utter piece of scum). He tells his troops to prepare for Gazans leaving the area - where the heck are they supposed to go?
