Re: Voitures Anciennes
OH really liked the Lotus Europa - I didn't! I liked the Lotus Elan until someone I worked with was picked up one evening by her new boyfriend who arrived in a dark blue Jensen Interceptor - wow I fell in instant love with it (the car not the driver
) and still love them. That was far more impressive IMHO than the Rolls driven by Richard Beckinsale who used to pick his mum up. We worked at Jessops (now John Lewis) Nottm and Saturday evening all the flash cars would pull up outside the staff entrance - a site to behold - at the time we had a moggie minor
. The nearest we got to a Jensen was a Lancia HPE and I loved that too not that it was ours we looked after it while OHs boss went off on his hols!
With this hand, I will lift your sorrows. Your cup will never be empty, for I will be your wine. With this candle, I will light your way into darkness. With this ring, I ask you to be mine.........The Corpse Bride

A difficult starter. What car is this and what circuit ? It's me driving but that won't help.

As there are really only two things you can see on the car through the windscreen, those are the clues.

CT and insurance sticker?
I don't recognise the linked wiper arms or the chrome thing on the bonnet. Either a tank cap or an air filter.

On my headstone it will say: Please switch off mobile phones. I'm trying to get some sleep.

The linked wipers are one clue. It's a 1966 Fiat Abarth 850TC. The other is the chrome petrol tank filler.

It is very noisy both inside and out (lovely). As you can see the engine cover stays open all the time.
