Not if you can either build little fires or piles of grass mowings under the trees :) Would generate just enough heat to save the blossom. Grass is favourite because the forecast is for several cold nights, and it usually gets progressively colder.

Ah, up here in the frozen north it's much milder though the cold wind means wrapping up well. Out of the wind when the sun's out, it's lovely.
While the Saintes de Glace aren't finished yet, it's unlikely that we will have a frost, temps seem to be around 10°C. But sadly it's the wind that blows the blossom off anything that's not sheltered.

Well round here it is chilly and windy. I nearly took a photo of the garden to share the annual Spring mole takeover. I tap down between 20 and 50 mole hills EACH DAY in Spring. Are there no mole predators???

Just over 3C this morning and a bitter northerly bringing odd icy showers with it. Out for a walk this morning dressed as for mid-winter.

Great idea, but the only fire that'll be lit tonight will be the woodburner in the lounge! :P No grass mowings here either, we rarely cut our own grass, let alone collect it. It'll just be survival of the fittest regarding plants, as always! :D

Yes, I've seen those and the bigger ones. The reviews are really all over the place. We have 5000m2 of terrain. And a great part of it has Water mains running under it. So no big bangs allowed. Also, upon reading the many reviews people are quick to remind you that if your neighbors aren't using the same sort of deterrent your problem will never end and you'll be investing your 20€ a pop (for 5 pétards) to no end.

It is very frustrating and Spring is the absolute worst. I hate them.

Not only are they not finished, they haven't started.

Used to use one but the cost got to much.
For years now Ive opened up the hole and tipped an egg cup of diesel down it.
Result no moles.
