Yeah, I was not particularly keen on their other stuff either but this song and video touched something in me.

I know that this weekends theme is Halloween and that it gives a lot of scope for some good musical posts.
But I have always hated this custom.
So I will soldier on with my French music posts.
French popular music has never been very successful outside of France.
America and Britain are way ahead and even Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, Australia and even Iceland have done better than France.
However, France has always had huge talent, just hard to export it.
In 1970, when I was 13 years old I was staying with a friend in France and their version of TOTP's came on, I can't remember what it was called, but this song was number one!
It blew me away!

Then in the mid seventies, when in France, I came across this Breton guy.
This tune has stayed with me ever since.

Then when I took my family to France in 1998 this rap version of the same song was playing everywhere!

More recently I came across this version of the song which I think is the best yet.
Sorry if I have bored you with three versions of the same tune, but I do love it!

Changing the mood completely now, I love Zaz's voice and the fact that she is just so French!
