As well as chocolates of various types, they also sell chocolate nibs in something like 20 varieties - mostly single source - for those who would make their own sweets, cakes, puddings and so on. I have seen some UK restaurants declaring that their chocolate desserts are base on Valrhona and many, many moons ago (and before we even thought of moving permanently to France), the Lufthansa in flight magazine declared Valrhona the best chocolate - in their opinion of course.
My wifes Son and daughter in law, live across the rhone from there, so we usually stock up with chocolate when we visit, not that £10 would get you very much, but excellent chocolate.

@Chappers51 I went through a licorice phase a few years ago, but stopped on the advice/orders of my last but one MT, who pointed out that with high BP, I was doing myself no favours aa licorice raises BP.

On the other hand as we all know, chocolate is good for you! Our boulangerie expanded its chocolaterie business a few years ago and makes the most wunnerful chocs. Expensive, but you know what you're getting.

I spotted some delicious-sounding figs stuffed with almond and candied orange peel, coated in white chocolate but unfortunately they had sold out. Price was more than the £10 offering, but sounded a lovely treat. Part of the 5 a day fruit/veg too, at a pinch and good for the gut!

You try to do your best for your health and then someone's poor stock control lets you down - my sympathies @Polly
