@Bayleaf well it's noel in my abode - tree is up and decorated and switched on, mantel is dressed in the kitchen & the sitting room I work on the basis that you never know if this will be your last as it was for a couple of OHs relatives last year and a couple of my friends previously so I make the most of it for as long as I can - & I don't worry what the neighbours or indeed friends think though they secretly enjoy it 
but I know the kids on the school bus early morning and evening love it cos they all have big grins & wave frantically on each passing so I've made some if not all happy (including myself )
