Sorting out my S1

Glad to hear your rdv went well Headers. Annoying that you have to mess around with additional admin but compared to cancer it's not important. Surprised that the doctor will sign you off given that 'cure' is not a word they use. My husbands 1st cancer has been in remission for 7 years but he was still told he would have to be monitored annually until he died. Now he has a 2nd cancer, and potentially a 3rd to be confirmed next week, which sadly we are not so hopeful about. Seems the dreaded C never let go in his case.

I must say I was surprised too! When I see my onco in February I’ll ask what the ongoing situation will be. I’m expecting the big C to tap me on the shoulder again. It really is a difficult situation to come to terms with.

Certain cancers seem survivable but sadly not all. I very much hope you make it.

We went AGAIN to Agen this week having failed to submit the missing paperwork using their dreadful online software.
The foncs (yes 2 of them this time) admitted that they had failed to send all my paperwork to Bayonne so we did it again. No idea when this will get sorted but it’s starting to cost me money. 150 this month.
I’m hoping it gets sorted before my next TEP scan which will be mighty expensive to pay up front if they’ll even do it without a carte vitale!
I’ll give them until mid October and then I’m going to contact the défenseur des droits for some help.

Sorry to hear of your ongoing problems. I would ask the various hospitals to delay sending their invoices if you can't afford to pay and reclaim. It's a great health service in France but real shit when it goes wrong.

I noticed a payment from CPAM into our bank account. I checked OHs ameli account. Not there. So it’s related to me, but I’ve had nothing from CPAM to say my droits are open.
So I took a chance and tried to log into Ameli and bingo. I still have an account from before we were covered by OH S1 and my droits are open. yippee. I can get my CV mis à jour and
get the feuilles des soins to CPAM and notify my mutuelle that things have changed slightly so getting there but no thanks to the foncs!

Progress. Not the stress that you needed though.

Well done, Headers! Don't you just love the way that you're only notified if something is refused? :D

I would check if your carte vitale is attached to your oh S1 account. Is the ss number on the front yours or his? You need a card with your own number.

Thanks for thinking of this. We were properly in the French system up to 2012 when my OH got his state pension so I have my own number on my CV.
I have been in touch with our ‘mutuel’ and they have now linked me with my separate CPAM entity. CPAM are not showing the link yet. It’ll probably take a few days/weeks to get there.
So in all it’s taken 5 months from start to finish and I observe that my state pension has immediately been eaten up by the dropping value of sterling. C’est la vie!
