I have asked if I could pass by a pharmacy to pick up a prescription on the 17th of november. This pharmacy is a LONGGGGG way away, so I want to make sure I'm understanding this correctly.

This is the reply. It is the 'sans autre' that I have not heard before. Translation sites have not helped. I presume it is something like I can pass by there on the 17th with no problem. Can anyone enlighten me please?

Which brings me to my question. How do people cope with a recorded answerphone message spoken at typical French machine gun rapid fire. I have been trying to book a RDV with my doctor and I get a message with one or two intelligible words. The doctor's name and the word "absent".

I just sent them a quick email to double check. I honestly have never heard the term that way. Deep L has this:

You can come by without further ado on 17.11.22

which I think is correct. None of the others showed that. They translated literally which, of course, made no sense.

Not sure if you are serious or joking. I have, on more than one occasion, called a number a couple of times just to re-listen to the greeting message.

Pharmacy is closed now until Monday. I think I found the answer as noted above. I'll call the pharmacy a day or so before I go there to make sure prescription is there and ready.

Ooops! Perhaps not as you say you have no mobile signal which I assume is needed for this service.

From experience you still need a mobile number if you are not already registered with Doctolib. This as a form of 2 stage verification. Thankfully I got OH registered before all this Cr@p started

Logical question. The medication is not available in France. This pharmacy is in Switzerland. So is the doctor treating me. No arnaque, but I understand your concern. These days you have to be more than careful.
