Aparently cost of the Artimis II launch $4bn, trumps war so far $40bn, and that is just to america, I could quite believe it could be many times that if you include what it has cost the rest of the world so far.

I find these space events terrifying and the launch hasn't been without difficulty.
There were problems with the loo on board and

There were also issues reported with the flight termination system and the launch abort system - two safety systems that protect astronauts and the public.

Fortunately these problems have been resolved

I well remember the excitement of the first moon landing (there was no claim then that it was a spoof), but I have often wondered how much all the space exploration/junk has affected the climate, although it seems to be a non-subject. Why?

But they're not landing on the moon, just going around and back. Seems no different to the other space trips.
I'll be more interested when they land on another planet.

They are going further from the earth than any other human has. They are planning a landing in 2028 I believe. This is the preliminary for that and eventually Mars
