Macron's speach yesterday

For those who might have missed it or don't understand French very well here's a brief rundown from the Guardian in English.

I'm not sure how restaurants and other places are supposed to know whether or not you're over 65 though.

Overall I thought it was an excellent address and an almost pulling of rug from under declared candidates' feet, although they'll find plenty to critiicize. Somùeone will make the connection between immigrants and the 6 million who haven't been vaccinated, I'd bet a tenner on that.
I'm especially pleased that they'll continue with nuclear power - the only clean energy source imo.

Char - I think the restaurant checking is still being worked out. Owners could at a pinch ask to see an identity document, although technically it's only Laura Norder which can insist on that (afaik).

Your date of birth is on the pass sanitaire.

There's still the detail to sort out as far as I can see. By 15th December not all over 65s will be 6 months clear of their last jab which is usually the booster minimum time limit, me and Fixit included as our vaccinations were delayed due to having had Covid rather nastily.

I doubt that it will take much to tweak the app that reads the certificate's QR code to establish validity - vaccine received within last 6 months (whether second or booster).

Our six months are up but can't get an appointment for the top up at pharm.
Never mind we are seeing our DR this afternoon for a long awaited control technique.
Maybe he will do it, he said hopefully.
What a difference watching our President last evening, to the meandering of bojo.

You should be able to get a PCR test and add it to your TousAntiCovid wallet if you need to show you are clear.

Bojo is actually a double problem - not only did his policies lead to the delta getting a hold but then also by setting a bad example he undermines the valid government policies such as boosters.

As an aside, with the pressure next turning to flu jabs, at least in the UK, I wonder when they will make it onto the app and it will become a vaccination app more than a covid app?
