Re: Weather
Our bottle brush is flowering too.
How do people live without at least one dog in the house?

Re: Weather
'tis lovely bright and sunny today - but it's very cold. I'm normally gardening in a tea-shirt in October.

Re: Weather
Blowing a hooly & hissing down here in SW 29 with 100 km/hr gusts. Just watched a large branch of our Albizia get ripped off & blown across the lawn.
The storm is due to run up western France according to Ventusky so batten down the hatches if you're in that region.

Poor Albizzia, such a beautiful, but fragile tree.
Just started pishing down here too...

Re: Weather
We had that lovely weather yesterday .. really glorious. Now it is blowing an absolute hooley following torrential rain earlier. Wind speed only 65/70kph but the rafales are 105kpm.
I hate it as there is nowhere to go to escape the noise of the wind.

Re: Weather
Lovely day in London too today, warm and sunny, but we are predicted to get this Atlantic storm too tonight, heavy wind and rain, we had a bit of it earlier but it seems to have calmed down for now.

Re: Weather
Been really hammering down here as the storm front moves through. Should be gone in an hour or so. Even stopped the satellite TV signal.

Re: Weather
Tempête Aurore - that came out of nowhere, and was much stronger than predicted! Our area was still marked as green, but we took a hammering, so either it went off course or it's predicted course has done some nasty damage.
I was half expecting our new polytunnel to be in the road or elsewhere, but a quick glance it looks like it's still in the same place! Although it could be like Father Ted's crashed car - fine from the front, but the back - totally caved in!
