Running lighting off of 12 volt batteries

He says it gives more light than the 5 ft fluorescent tube in there.

They reminded me. I have been struggling for years to find a way to get a very bright flood of light over my sawbench in the shed. Can anyone suggest an effective solution that won't cost the earth? I have mains and 12v. available and can mount a fitting or bulb holder just under one metre from the blade.

@ Hotrodder, what about a simple Livarno Lux LED floodlight (LIDL), bypass the motion sensor, and you will have plenty of light. These units for outdoor use have modern high-bright leds. Colour temperature not the almost Edison warm 2700 Kelvin range, but higher 4000 K (neutral white) or 6000K (cold white), so perfect for "industrial" lighting. Price about 20 or 25 euros.

Why not use an LED projecteur. (floodlight) You can orientate the thing where you want. Cheap(ish) to buy & run & no heat to bother you. A 20 w unit should do nicely for about €15-20 on Amazon fr.
I bought a job lot of 230v units from Noz a while ago for silly money so always worth a look.
