But before that, just on a spur of the moment thing, got out some frozen mixed fruit, chopped up a couple of apples and pears, and turned them into a fruit pie, but only had an unfrozen Short crust and Puff pastry so put the Puff on the top.

Made a Ham and Leek pie with a cheese sauce, ok but Ham a bit tough so not a total success, tonight we are going to finish off the Pear and Chocolate and Almond tart with homemade Chocolate custard. :D .

A frozen resto take away couscous that's been lurking in the freezer for a few weeks augmented by some merguez sausages from Eric le Sausage (your basement butcher )

Have just enjoyed magret de canard (finished with a black pepper and Cahors wine jus), oven chips and some slow-cooked red cabbage from the freezer.
Fat from the magret collected for roast spuds in the future of course.
