Empty ferries ...

Someone put up a couple of photos to show their's was the ONLY car on a ferry to the UK the other day. Also noted that only two trucks were on there, and one was British on a return trip. Heard from the other driver "after last Christmas, no European truckers want the danger of getting stuck in Kent lorry park again."

Wondering about a UK trip next Spring I checked on DFDS website for Dieppe-Newhaven prices in March, very reasonable and decent terms for genuine Covid cancellations. Didn't book though, it's going to take a lot of improvement for us to want to travel

Passenger Eurotunnel yesterday were running two trains an hour - but on my evening train there were only maybe a dozen small cars on the shuttle.

Actually the process was painless - probably as we did all the faffing around with filling forms and uploading certificates before arrival - but I guess it could be off putting.

The return looks more likely to be an issue as French and Swiss authorities currently have different re-entry requirements.

Also, for the first time ever, French Passport Control examined my Swiss Permits as well as my UK passport - maybe in anticipation of my return?
