UK TV in France
Hi, I'm sure this has been covered but I can't find the topic. I want to watch UK TV when visiting France, I've tried VPN and still get blocked. We have unlimited fibre via Orange so straeming is easy. Can you please help me with best way to watch?

We use a sattelite dish and a Freeview box. Works fine unless very bad weather which blocks transmission.

That sounds a simple solution, I thought there was a limit as to to far South it works?

They use 'em in Spain. It just requires a larger diameter dish. Up here in the gloomy northwest a 60-80cm dish works OK.
On my headstone it will say: Please switch off mobile phones. I'm trying to get some sleep.

We are well south of you Hotrodder and we have a 45cm oval dish .. but a reasonably good LNB, which helps a lot.

We have a VPN to watch Netflix, Prime and all the catchup channels like Hub and Iplayer.
We also have a Humax box that works with the satellite Freesat.

As said it is a freesat box not freeview. We are a lot, lot further south than those who have posted so far and can make a 60cm dish work in all but heavy precipitation. We are theoretically out of range with a dish that small but it works pretty well. WE do get drop out on some stations - for example ITV does not work in the summer but does in the winter, but ITV HD works year round as does ITV+1.

We use Freesat via a Humax (the new Freesat boxes eventually became available in 2021 so prices for others dropped). You probably need a box that records given there is a time difference and you may be abed before some of your favourites come on.
We only really get issues if the LNB gets ice. I have tried several VPNs eg Cyberghost and progressively, they failed to work - the one with my Norton security package does a decent job at the other house.
We have had the parabole for many years now and the fella who put it in place has retired but I believe there are two alternatives in Bourbonne and a newish one who lives in Vicq - Florent Lavine 06 78 86 91 09. He has helped us with other things electrical.
