He loves a good fire

For three years our commune & those close have been subject to between 20-30 suspect barn fires . A Friend of ours had his two storey brick built workshop, situated in his garden almost totally destroyed.
According to the local newspaper the police have finaly got the guy suspected of arson.
Turns out he's a volunteer fireman at our local station.

Not the first time, I'm sure. Taking pleasure in putting out the fires they've created is known to be a thing with certain firemen.

If they are like a lot of UK firemen the are "Retained" a bit like lifeboat crews, they have every day jobs and when they get a "shout" ie a call out, they get to the station as quickly as poss, the crews that go out on the call get paid, ie an incentive to earn extra cash, but to put your colleagues life's at risk, is not a good thing.
