I posted back the proof I was still alive about about six weeks ago & since then have tried at least ten times to phone the UK Gov. number on the form to seek assurance it had been received.
To date all I've heard is some music as human contact seems unavailable.
The form says my pension will be stopped until the completed form is returned. This doesn't particularly bother me but could be a life changer for some.
Working from home is presumably the reason for lack of humans to answer phones.
No doubt someone will eventually let me know what the score is when they shift their arses from exercise bikes to office chairs.

Mine arrived here 10 days ago, about 2 months after OH's. It's filled in but I have to trot along to the mairie to have it stamped. I'll put an international stamp on it and hope it arrives outre-manche a bit more quickly. What happens on tother side is anyone's guess.

We have both received forms recently, as we do most years. Don't know why. In my husbands case it was necessary for the Mayor to come to see my husband at home as he is terminally ill. Years ago our completed forms were marked as not received and our pensions stopped until I sent copies. I can't get too excited about it at the moment, other things to concentrate on.

Yes it is possible to send with accuse de reception but from personal experience it does not work for international mail. I strongly suspect that the British postie has no idea what the bit on the back of the letter is and rather less cares.

I have use it for passport renewal back in the noughties. Still waiting for the confirmation of delivery although the passport arrived quickly.

I sent mine and asked for it to be tracked. It worked and it appears they have received it - message was "Votre envoi a été retiré - lundi 17 janvier". I have tried 'lettre recommandée avec avis de reception' in the past but never had anything back from UK.
