Yelllow peril

#1 Post by L Austin France »

My wife was on our country road, walking the dog this morning when she was passed, in the same direction, by a bright yellow cigar shaped seemingly unmanned, window less 'vehicle' about 4m long followed at a distance of about 30m by a similar but manned other vehicle who/which appeared to be controlling the other.
A bloke in the following vehicle waved to her through a window below the 'conning tower' (for want of a better explanation) The two vehicles sped by so quickly she didn't have time to get her phone out to photograph them. Both had rotating flashing lights & flags on poles like the old Sinclair C5 & were obviously electric powered by the stealthy way they approached & passed her as she had no idea they were behind her until they passed.
My wife isn't prone to exageration but is adament that had she been on horseback she'd probably be, at the best, in hospital by now as they would have scared the crap out of her horse.

There are cycle powered machines similar to that which you described.

My first reaction was that they were Recumbent cycle machines.
She still thinks the front m/c had no windows & the sound was 'electric' but bikes that go past our house can sometimes whine like leccy jobs.
Either way she's glad she wasn't on horseback when these whizzy flashing light things went by.
