Have you received notification from the pension people about this years rise, usually had it by now.?

Nuffink so far except the usual 'are you still alive' enquiry. I half expect a rude 'you're getting no more from us, you stinking furriner' missive sent from Holland with a zillion other such letters.

Maybe this year's rise will be cancelled and the savings used to pay for the unusable PPE the Conservative cronies bought.

Yep, we both received the 'still alive' letter a couple of weeks ago. We went as usual into the bank who would normally do the business at the desk but not this time we had to have an appointment a couple of days later at 10:00am. At around 9:30 we rec'd a phone call from the bank an english speaking lady which threw us completely who apologised for the short notice and if we couldn't supply it it wouldn't matter but could we take with us an up to date statement with our address on it. So I quickly dug one out and off we went. We were directed to an office where a mobile was connected to a PC. The english speaking lady started talking thro. the mobile and said she was there to help with translation if we needed it, to ask questions to help the bank clerk update our details on the PC. Well, nearly two hours later we got out of there having had everything updated cos for some reason the bank hadn't done any checks for several years and I'd stupidly said 'we only came to prove we are still alive' her reply was 'as you've mentioned it have you thought about funeral insurance TBH I couldn't stop giggling as she went through it all - and of course we have now received all of the bumpf about it. So for 4,000 euros each we can cover our funeral costs. Actually it doesn't seem a bad idea..........or does it? We did get a given a biro each

We've been with Credit Mutual for about 20 years.
Always keep a healthy balance & gave them all of our insurance business for a few years .

Next time take the still alive form to the town hall you will have it signed and be out in a few minutes, or next time at the doctor's they will do it.
