This is fabulous indeed. But let's not forget who's loose tongue put her there. Now he's settled his "debt" to enable another oil deal to be agreed, it suited him rather than an actual empassioned effort to free Nazanin beforehand.

Shame on him - I bet he doesn't offer one pence of compensation to the family.

Great news. It can't have been easy for her separated from her husband, but worse, from her daughter who won't have seen her mother since she was a baby. It could be a difficult adjustment.

She must be so relieved to be home with her family. Paying the tank debt may have sealed her release but that debt should have been paid years ago. It's their New Year this week so is she just one of the many prisoners being pardoned and we're making more of it than it is?

I am delighted. I whooped with delight when I heard the news. I can't think of a word strong enough to describe what her family must be feeling.

The outside world has changed a lot since she last saw it and I guess her release and return to her home and family will not be without some problems.

Amen to that. She and her family need to be left to rebuild without the feeling of all the journalists frothing at the mouth at their door.

I was thinking, when she is ready, she might write a book on the experience. Not a newspaper feature series but a proper book that will gain her family some cash. They'll have a long wait for anything from the government that let her down so badly.
