Just noticed a lady up the road has covered her outside vine with a huge sheet of voile.
Obviously expecting frost :o

@L Austin France Funny you should say that as when I looked out of my bedroom window early this morning it was good grief what is that when I noticed this massive white balloon at the bottom of my neighbours field - digging out the binoculars I discovered they've planted a small tree and covered it in voile which has obviously got the wind up it - it wasn't there yesterday lunchtime when I took my walk :D

I've just seen a warning from Météo France of colder weather to come after the last few beautiful days. High winds, rain and frost though we're unlikely to get the latter here, fortunately.

Minus 4 being forecast as a low over the weekend. I will be running round with bell cloches to protect some of the plants later in the week.

oooh lordy it's on its way - just covered all my newly planted perennials with bark & will stick some empty Evian bottles that I cut in half a couple of years back to cover them for the night time duvet!

Our beautiful Mirabelle - Hopefully the frost won't get to it this year as it did last year killing off the fruit ;)

These irises are very prolific - we divide them every year and they grow like weeds ! We should get some of the brownish ones soon.

Went supermarket shopping this morning and thought how cold it was then noticed that the car showed the temperature as 1 degree arriving at the local town about 3km down the road the temperature was then showing 0 degree ☃️ Mr Frost obviously on the way.
