I think that’s one of the reasons we are in the mess we are in today,because people were told not to question those in authority and respect their every word,and they frequently don’t know what is best for people and need questioning

I stopped believing that old brainwash when I started noticing so much of the ideas they were pushing were nothing but BS designed to control us. I have always had a distrust of anyone in uniform. Low ranking types are totally brainwashed. High ranking types think they are untouchable "gods" that relish the power over the minions.

Nice to see Zemmour put in his place but very surprised that the PS didn't do better but even more surprised that Hidalgo has advised her people to vote for Macron in the 2nd tour. Meanwhile Mélenchon has to decide who he will support. Cannot see it being MLP so Macrons return to power seems assured. As always in French elections, since De Gaulle changed the rules in the 1960's, the 2nd Tour will be a choice of the "Lesser of two evils"

Eric Zemmour blackballed from Ritz swimming pool for 'inappropriate behaviour'

Eric Zemmour, the French Right-wing populist pundit who crashed out of parliamentary elections this month has reportedly been left red-faced again after the Ritz Paris banned him from its swimming pool for inappropriate behaviour.

Le Canard Enchaîné reported that the Ritz declined the renewal of his subscription to the swimming pool - the largest of all of the Parisian hotel “palaces” - after receiving a complaint from an American female customer who Mr Zemmour “rudely told off” for using the same lane as him.
