@tagh oh my mistake then sorry. Laughter the best medicine
With this hand, I will lift your sorrows. Your cup will never be empty, for I will be your wine. With this candle, I will light your way into darkness. With this ring, I ask you to be mine.........The Corpse Bride

Well at least it give the little'uns a few more verses to sing now.

I always thought it was 'and none for the little boy who lived down the lane' but there you go - a piece of history telling everyone how the wool was taxed in the olden days has been expanded and lets face it how many of us knew the history of the rhyme anyway.

I still don't really understand what "woke" is.
I don't agree with pulling down statues of "undesirables" - they're part of history.
I don't agree with changing the words of nursery rhymes because some ignorant twit objects.
I used to collect golly badges.

With you there Mad.
No one takes notice of history or learns from it.
Nearly everything from the past has to be changed to be politicaly correct, its also getting that we all have to be very aware of what we say or else we're in problems.
Its getting very much the same on here from time to time.

I don’t agree with pulling statues down,I think they should be used as learning opportunities, rather than erasing the past. I do think people can learn from history but it has to be part of a bigger ‘package ‘ for want of a better expression .As for saying what you want fine but would you want to deliberately hurt someone’s feelings? there are ways of saying things that don’t upset people

@Doug why make this personal? I wasn’t referring to you as such if you want to take it that way feel free
I find the knife comment offensive, but you have the right to say it
