Winter's Coming . . .
It's the Summer Solstice today - so from now on the nights get longer and the days get shorter - winter is on the way.

Ever the optimist!
Son and I were just saying last night, as another storm raged around us and monsoon type rain belted down - we prefer winter!

You are such a cheery soul. Look on the bright side it's the first day of summer. Enjoy.

I love winter as I'm so much more comfortable in my winter woollies - I don't feel the cold too much but a tad of heat floors me

With this hand, I will lift your sorrows. Your cup will never be empty, for I will be your wine. With this candle, I will light your way into darkness. With this ring, I ask you to be mine.........The Corpse Bride

You can guess my take on this. Nice ice and a blizzard, I shall check my snowshoes for the coming winter.

The Solstice always reminds me of end of term evenings at Uni, when those rich students with cars drove off to Stonehenge and the rest of us finished off in Reading.
Fixit and I are still together 50 solstices later, and are in touch with old friends from those years.

How do people live without at least one dog in the house?

Who's gonna start the bloody countdown to Xmas?
On my headstone it will say: Please switch off mobile phones. I'm trying to get some sleep.
