Covid jabs

#41 Post by suein56 »

OH and I both had the Moderna vaccine for the first 3 jabs .. yesterday we had Pfizer for our fourth.
Overnight I started with pain everywhere that I have arthritis .. which is pretty much everywhere.
I felt as though I had been a few rounds with a full-on boxer.
OH wasn't a lot better.
All our French friends had Pfizer throughout and had no problems at all but then none of them have arthritis.

I'll take whatever.
This evening an Irish lady with a second home here arrived and the kissy kissy with everyone on the village café terrace happened, except when she got to OH and me - we don't do kissy kissy any more. Hello is fine, an elbow bump fine but Jeez do we need to get up close and personal????
How do people live without at least one dog in the house?

With this hand, I will lift your sorrows. Your cup will never be empty, for I will be your wine. With this candle, I will light your way into darkness. With this ring, I ask you to be mine.........The Corpse Bride

Same problem here with UK visitors - we back off as well when the pucker uppers are heading towards us.

Sadly (certainly in the UK )the numbers are increasing, and unlike a few months ago when it was tending to be a coincidental finding and patients were being treated for something else, people are requiring treatment/ support for Corona virus

Folk here mostly stopped wearing masks once Covid was no longer headline news. Shopkeepers kept asking me whether I was OK as I've never stopped wearing 'em. Now the English tourists are back (you can hear them a mile away), the masks have once again become de rigueur.

The demand for testing is rocketing - loads of people in yesterday having tested positive with an antigène test. Covid Tracker shows a steady rise every day :
https://covidtracker.fr

Regarding 4th doses, this is from the French government site, updated 27 June 2022 :
https://www.gouvernement.fr/info-coronavirus/vaccins
"Dans le cas des personnes ayant été infectées par le Covid-19 après leur premier rappel (3rd jab) :
Si l’infection est survenue plus de 3 mois après le premier rappel, un deuxième rappel n’est pas nécessaire. En effet, la survenue d’un épisode infectieux provoque une réponse immunitaire au moins équivalente à celle d’un rappel vaccinal ;

We caught the virus 3 months and a few days after our 3rd jab so we will probably go for the 4th jab in September, 6 months after being infected because our protection will naturally go down.

Here they say 4 months after infection. But minimum age 65 unless you pay. So one way or another I will get my 4th in September as well.
