Cold hands in the bathroom
This just came through in an email alert for French property. Looks like there could be a loo roll shortage on the way but check out the wood burner pipe, it could keep your hands warm in the winter if you spend a while on the loo

Ouch!
On my headstone it will say: Please switch off mobile phones. I'm trying to get some sleep.

That flue looks a bit too close for comfort .. especially if the user of the toilet is built generously.

Re: Cold hands in the bathroom
Hmm .. some friends have such a flue, which occupies the corner of a mansarded room close to the doorway, and the emanating heat can immediately be felt as you enter or leave the room.
The house was built around 2003/2004 so it should be 'conforme' .. all I can say is I don't like visiting this friend's study in the colder months as the flue-in-the-corner unnerves me.
Obviously it's ok in the summer as the fire is not lit then
