The haggis was from "Montys" but the recipe was from a butcher in Leyburn, N Yorks, sadly closed they used Pigeon breast. Like most just having salads.Veem wrote: ↑Sun Jul 17, 2022 2:31 pmOoh, I didn't see this on the day. Were they by any chance from Monty Butcher? We went to a Burns Night supper where the Scottish organisers had bought a load from him and they were absolutely delicious and ......................... HUGE. Eight people on our table and none of us could finish. I took what was left over 'for the dogs' and we lived off it for about 3 days!!!!!!!!!
It's way too hot for proper cooking, so tonight we're having heated up Parmentier de Canard with this year's broad beans given to us by friends.

Just knocked up a batch of atheist hot cross buns whilst watching the tour.
Great for breakfast split, toasted & buttered with a lump of cheese.

Yes, those look delicious.
Rather dull dinner for us this evening. Don't want to turn the oven on. Salmon in the air fryer and courgettes sauteed in skillet.

Here's my hand written copy of someone else's recipe.
This gives a sloppy mix so I keep adding flour until it's OK.
I use 12gm of yeast & a 'tray' about 36 x 30 cm which with the added flour gives 12 big buns. I always add more raisins to compensate for extra flour plus any other chopped up dried fruit I have.

Just had the remains of lunchtime's Greek salad followed by a cheesy, oniony beef burger in a brioch bun.
Surprisingly good combo
