I think Laura Norder will be after you if you start mowing before 8 a.m. Chickens and a cockerel is a good idea.

When I learn a new piece, I practise the difficult passages out of earshot of everyone, including OH !

My elderly neighbour used to play the accordion. It was lovely to hear, even late in the evening.

I was going to suggest you learn to play the bagpipes, I know how bad they are my sister learned to play them the mice used to throw themselves on the traps

The music teacher isn't THAT bad. It also isn't constant. I'm not sure exactly which house she is in. Sound travels strangely sometimes. I often hear the boulangere's big dog barking when I am in our cour. It sounds like he is just next to me when in reality, he lives on the opposite side of the street/opposite side of our house.

We won't be living in this house forever, so we cope like everyone else that lives in town. Last Sunday was the wine festival in town. I have never seen so many people packed into this town ever.. Inch to inch everywhere. Must have put a huge strain on the already strained utilities of the village.
