I have a couple of these, I've experienced dozens of different fans but the performance of these is outstanding. Slow speed (1 out of 3) exceeds the performance of many others flat out.

No hesitation in recommending.

Thank you for recommending this fan, we are very pleased with. Even on the fastest speed it's quiet. We will get another 2 for bedrooms.

Thank you @A.N.Other and @manonthemoon2. Thank you both for the info. Quite apart from its obvious efficiency as a fan, it also looks so much better than many models. Most of the reviews on LM are in Spanish but aren't difficult to understand.
We actually want a fan to move the hot air around from our wood burner ! Fortunately it's much cooler here so no need for fans in the summer any more (one of the reasons for choosing to move north).

We used to migrate between north and south twice a year for similar reasons but it became a pain in the backside.

Yes but only problem is with high ceilings a step ladder is required to access it, not a criticism as it's a common issue with many if not most fans.

Not a major problem in the living room but in the bedroom I have to stand in the middle of the bed and even then stretch up to operate it, it's not that big of a deal for me but I wouldn't want 'er indoors trying it.

As we rarely use the lights I'm seriously looking at fitting a relay to mimic the reversing switch which could then be operated by the light On/Off button on the remote.

Our problem will be that there is no central ceiling light so something that could be operated by remote control/wife or whatever would be the answer to a prayer !

Have a look at the range of kinetic switches & relays now available. You're bound to find one to do what you want & no need for cable runs.
I've got 'em all over the place now as I find I need extra lights & they're bloomin' brill.
Cheap from Aliexpress if you can wait for delivery.

I've got as far as buying a relay, one mustn't rush these things you know
