Sorry couldn't get any asparagus so turned the steak into a Beef Stroganoff, with a bit of rice.

A bit early in the season yet for asparagus - except for imported stuff from Peru.
Even wit the mild weather I would not expect our bed to produce anything for at least a month.

We eat amorphous freezer lumps too. I'm very bad at er, marking what goes into the freezer. Sometimes we have some real surprises. I'm still trying to find the spiced red cabbage that I know is there but I'm afraid of having to serve redcurrants or straws with bangers or pork.

Cold pork after a piece of roast pork last night.
I am pretty good at labelling nowadays as was getting fed up with gravy instead of soup, tomato sauce instead of fruit etc etc.

Re: What's for Dinner?
Yes agreed I was looking for frozen ones which are very nice, fried in Olive oil and butter. We picked up a cooked chicken yesterday so curry, tonight sorry "Pataks", tomorrow chicken and mushroom pie with carbonara sauce,
