Sad - only used them once for the boys to visit their grandparents and I have to say that they were the best of any UM we used - by a long way.

I thought they'd already folded!

They were my favourite form of transport for my rare visits back to the UK - Limoges to Southampton/Bristol. Shame, I don't like travel enough to partake in any alternative anymore.

They did - hence my post #2 "again" 2020 - but they were resurrected and have now gone again.

I did use them a couple of times and have to say compared with the real LoCos the service was much better - although the price matched it - but still cheaper than flag carriers.

The problem is that getting between regional airports can be fraught - and the more so when routes disappear.
I am not sure that Flybe had any routes into France in its second life, but before, in its original life, I used Lyon - Manchester (via Southampton) and Lyon - Birmingham either of which would have been difficult or impossible with flag carriers at the time. ( MAN with BA via Heathrow; BHX with KLM (not then linked to Air France) via Schiphol or Lufthansa via Munich or Frankfurt).
