What's for Dinner?

It's a small appellation so I suppose supply and demand plays a big part in the price. My last glass was in 2021, on our last holiday before my husband died.

Memories - they can be bittersweet. My sincere condoleances. I did not know.

It was next to impossible to find in the Vaucluse. We are looking forward to visiting some of the caves once the weather gets warmer - and our attic construction is finished.

Neither of us fancied cooking so we reheated a bag of frozen paella.
Absolutely delicious :D

We discovered - or rather were introduced to - Pécharment when we had a travelling-around-Dordogne holiday in 2010. OH and I thought it was a truly delicious wine. We brought some bottles home to Morbihan - sadly they have all been drunk.

You can buy it online (direct from the producers) and have it shipped to you.

Just put in a Chicken and Ham and Leek pie in cheese sauce in the oven, but did it in a deeper spring form cake tin, :? but the mixture didn't come to the top :( so opened a tin of potatoes cut them in half and laid them on the top, so its now a C/H/L & potato pie.

Just finished cooking a huge vat of Bolognaise sauce which is now simmering on the hob.
Later on when it's 'done' & cooled off I'll make a Lasagne & portion up the remaining sauce for Spag. Bol. for two.
It'll all get bunged in the freezer for later.

Change of pace tonight. Farro with golden raisins, toasted almonds, shallots and feta served on sauteed frisée. Probably not for everyone, but we like it now and then.

I've just baked a cheese,onion & lardon loaf .
No idea what it's gonna taste like 'cos I'm waiting for it to cool off completely as I forgot to put a parchment paper 'lifter' in the tin & can't get it out of the tin at the mo.
