Oh dear! Isn't that banned on Sundays?
Beware the noise police
I think you'll find Hotrodder hasn't any close neighbours. Otherwise most unfair.

I know about his lack of neighbours & just assumed he had a sense of humour.
How close do you have to be NOT to hear a chainsaw? I can hear 'em from at least a km across our valley.
What's "most unfair"?

I agree. I think we're talking at cross purposes here. :)

There isn't a porpoise within 20km of here so don't worry.
The nearest neighbour only visits the house occasionally and spends most of the time beating hell out of something in one of this (several) sheds. No power tools, just what sounds like a very heavy hammer.
I do know that chainsaw noise (as well as bloody barking chasse dogs) can travel quite some distance and wouldn't want to be a source of annoyance to any quasi religious types that live within earshot. Therefore I used my tiddly little battery powered one to lop some branches.
It makes far less noise than the mopeds that fly past with exhausts removed.

On my headstone it will say: Please switch off mobile phones. I'm trying to get some sleep.

Well, I have an exciting 800 km drive ahead tomorrow - so I hope all the protesters of various ilks are also god botherers and giving people grief for using their chainsaws and not doing their silly things on motorways, filling stations etc.
